Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using ReceiptGenerator ("the Service"), operated by ReceiptGenerator ("we," "us," or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not access or use the Service. We may update these Terms at any time, and your continued use after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

2. Description of Service

ReceiptGenerator provides an online tool for creating, customizing, and downloading receipt documents. The Service is offered on a freemium basis, with additional features — including watermark removal, template saving, and AI-powered Place in Scene generation — available through paid subscriptions and credit purchases.

3. Permitted Use & Usage Restrictions

The Service is intended for legitimate business, creative, and personal use only. Permitted uses include, but are not limited to: personal expense tracking, budgeting, accounting, bookkeeping, design mockups, creative projects, and record keeping.

You agree NOT to use the Service to:

  • Create receipts intended to deceive, defraud, or misrepresent transactions that did not occur
  • Submit generated receipts as genuine to insurance companies, employers, courts, government agencies, or financial institutions for the purpose of obtaining money, reimbursement, tax deductions, or other benefits under false pretenses
  • Impersonate a business, retailer, or service provider
  • Violate any applicable local, state, national, or international law or regulation
  • Infringe upon the intellectual property rights of any third party
  • Distribute, resell, or sublicense the Service or its output for commercial receipt-generation services without our written consent

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that we reasonably believe are being used in violation of these restrictions, without prior notice or refund.

4. Trademark Disclaimer

All brand names, logos, trademarks, and trade names displayed within receipt templates on the Service are the property of their respective owners. ReceiptGenerator is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or in any way officially connected with any of the brands whose receipt formats appear on the platform. Receipt templates are provided solely as formatting references for the permitted uses described in Section 3. Use of any brand name or logo within a generated receipt does not imply any association with or endorsement by the brand owner.

5. Accounts

To access certain features, you may be required to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. You agree to provide accurate and complete information when registering and to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use. We reserve the right to disable any account at our sole discretion.

6. Payment, Subscriptions & AI Credits

Paid subscriptions (Weekly, Monthly, Yearly, or Lifetime) are billed through Stripe. Recurring subscriptions renew automatically until canceled. You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account dashboard or Stripe billing portal; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you retain access until that date.

AI Scene Credits are purchased separately and do not expire. Credits are non-transferable between accounts. Pricing for subscriptions and credits may change with reasonable advance notice; existing subscriptions will honor the price at which they were purchased until the next renewal.

7. Refund Policy

We offer refunds under the following conditions:

  • Subscriptions (Weekly, Monthly, Yearly, Lifetime): A full refund is available if you have not used any Pro features since purchase. Once you download a receipt without a watermark, save a template, or use any Pro-exclusive feature, the service is considered "used" and no refund will be issued. Refund requests must be submitted within 7 days of purchase.
  • AI Scene Credits: A full refund is available if none of the purchased credits have been used. Once any credits from the purchase are consumed (i.e., used to generate a scene), the purchase is non-refundable.
  • How to request: Contact us at support@receiptgenerator.co with your account email and reason for the request. We aim to process refunds within 5–10 business days.

Chargebacks or payment disputes filed without first contacting us may result in permanent account suspension.

8. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless ReceiptGenerator, its owners, officers, employees, and affiliates from and against any and all claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your use of the Service; (b) any receipts or content you create, distribute, or submit using the Service; (c) your violation of these Terms; or (d) your violation of any applicable law or the rights of any third party. This indemnification obligation survives termination of your account and these Terms.

9. Intellectual Property

The Service — including its design, code, user interface, documentation, and proprietary content — is owned by ReceiptGenerator and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of any custom text content you input into templates. You may not copy, modify, distribute, reverse-engineer, or create derivative works from any part of the Service without our written permission.

10. AI-Powered Features

The "Place in Scene" feature uses third-party AI services to generate composite images. By using this feature, you acknowledge that: (a) your uploaded receipt image and selected scene parameters are transmitted to third-party AI APIs for processing; (b) generated images are stored temporarily on our servers and may be cached; (c) we do not guarantee the accuracy, quality, or suitability of AI-generated output; and (d) AI credits consumed during generation are non-refundable regardless of the output quality.

11. DMCA & Takedown Procedure

We respect intellectual property rights. If you believe that content available through the Service infringes your copyright or trademark, you may submit a takedown notice to our designated agent:

Your notice must include:

  • Identification of the copyrighted or trademarked work claimed to be infringed
  • Identification of the infringing material and its location on the Service
  • Your contact information (name, address, phone, email)
  • A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized
  • A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and that you are authorized to act on behalf of the rights owner
  • Your physical or electronic signature

Upon receipt of a valid notice, we will promptly remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing content and notify the affected user. Counter-notices may be submitted following the process outlined in the DMCA.

12. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT ANY DEFECTS WILL BE CORRECTED.

13. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, RECEIPTGENERATOR AND ITS OWNERS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF (OR INABILITY TO USE) THE SERVICE, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATED TO THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

14. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Florida, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in any court of competent jurisdiction.

15. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Sections 4, 7, 8, 12, 13, and 14 survive termination.

16. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a prominent notice on the Service. Changes take effect upon posting unless otherwise stated. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

17. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
